About this Service
Comprehensive Assessments to Support NDIS Funding Decisions
A Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA) provides a detailed evaluation of an individual’s ability to participate in everyday activities and identifies supports that may improve independence and quality of life.
At Walnut Occupational Therapy, our FCAs involve gathering information through interviews, observations, standardised assessment tools and collaboration with participants, families, support workers and other professionals.
We assess areas such as personal care, mobility, communication, social participation, domestic tasks, learning, emotional regulation and community access.
The final report provides clear clinical evidence about how disability affects daily functioning and includes recommendations relating to supports, therapy, assistive technology, support workers and future needs.
Our reports are designed to help participants and their support networks understand current functional capacity and support requirements.
